Come to the law school to phone bank with your friends! The 4ALL-Lawyers on Call event is the largest annual pro bono event put on by the NCBA and NCBF and they still need more volunteers! 4ALL-Lawyers on Call is a community service that invites North Carolina residents to phone in and speak to a lawyer for free. Law student volunteers serve as call screeners to determine each caller's legal need or issue and then transfer the caller to an attorney who can help answer their questions. The event will be held on Friday, March 1 and law student volunteers are needed to serve in three hour shifts: 10am - 1pm, 1pm - 4pm, or 4pm - 7pm (especially during the last shift). They are expecting over 10,000 callers to phone in this year and need all of the volunteers they can get! Students can log pro bono hours for this event. Register below. |
