Hiding who you are at work is damaging to your professional effectiveness and your personal wellbeing. To quote Mr. Rogers, "The greatest gift you ever give is your honest self." We want to help you share your honest self with the people around you in ways that is psychologically safe, professionally advantageous, and personally fulfilling. In February's Leadership Skills Workshop we will look at the benefits of leading as your "whole self" and practical steps to take so that you can be a successful, authentic leader. We will examine authentic leadership theory, the benefits of authenticity, practical steps for being an authentic leader, and practice skills to develop your ability to be an authentic leader. Your background, skills, and perspective are all valuable tools for leadership - our goal for this month is to help you unlock those tools. |
