This will be a presentation followed by discussion of the NC State Bar's effort to tackle the problem of "legal deserts" in NC. Students will hear from the NC State Bar President, members of the Chief Justice's Commission on Professionalism, and others on key challenges and innovative solutions, with an opportunity for students to give feedback and offer additional insights. Attendees: Judge Carpenter of the NC Court of Appeals (to be confirmed), Jimbo Perry, Marci Armstrong, and Mark Atkinson. |
