ACS Movie Screening: Untouchable Documentary

Date: Tuesday, November 16, 2021
Time: 6:00 - 9:00 PM
Description: TRIGGER WARNING: Sexual abuse. The documentary described below explores sexual trauma and violence from the perspective of the victim, the perpetrator, and legislators.

ACS will be hosting a free screening of the documentary, which examines our current sex offense laws through intimate portrayals of both survivors of sexual abuse and the people who are navigating life on the sex offense registry. Since Untouchable's premiere at the Tribeca Film Festival, it has continued to spark important conversations and helped viewers to engage more deeply with this sensitive and complex topic. We hope the film will be of particular interest to students who are passionate about using the law to both protect the public interest and push for progressive change.

After the screening, we will host a panel discussion to unpack the ideas set forth in the documentary, as well as possible implications and concerns.
A link to the documentary's trailer will also be provided to students in advance.
