Professor Wendy Parker Faculty Development Presentation

Date: Wednesday, May 18, 2016
Time: 12:00 pm
Description: Professor Wendy Parker will discuss two questions. First, what do Omari Simmons and Ron Wright have in common with Fred Gray? Fred Gray, fresh out of law school, represented Rosa Parks, Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., and others during the Montgomery bus boycott as well as the black ministers in New York Times v. Sullivan. Second, how do we best evaluate the work of one person to end segregation in Alabama? Fred Gray and others aimed high in desegregating K-12 education in Alabama, and all but two of those suits are now over.
