Description: | Each semester, Dining Dilemmas events encourage students to discuss medical ethics in facilitated group discussions over a meal while they engage across class years, academic majors and career interests. Students will gather to discuss "Going Viral: 1918 Flu Pandemic in Winston-Salem and Beyond" and learn about the 1918 flu, which infected 500 million people worldwide and killed 30-50 million people. Law Professor Christine Nero Coughlin, Wake Forest History Professor Simone Caron, and Biology Professor Pat Lord will speak from their various areas of academic expertise. |
