The Washington Post's Radley Balko to discuss police brutality and the rise of militarization of America's police forces

Description: The Wake Forest Law chapter of The Federalist Society, the Criminal Law Roundtable and the Criminal Justice Program invite the Wake Forest community to a presentation by Radley Balko, an author and journalist with The Washington Post. Balko writes about criminal justice, the drug war and civil liberties. Previously, he was a senior writer and investigative reporter for The Huffington Post, a senior editor at Reason magazine and a policy analyst for the Cato Institute, specializing in vice and civil liberties issues. He is the author of the 2013 book, "Rise of the Warrior Cop: The Militarization of America's Police Forces." This event will also mark the first meeting of the Federalist Society for the spring semester. Lunch will be served. We look forward to seeing you there!
