Introduction to Legal Skills Assessment & Portfolio Software

Date: Wednesday, September 23, 2015
Time: 12:00 - 12:50 PM
Description: This is a training session on the use of a new tool available to all upper-level and LL.M. Wake Forest Law students -- the Legal Skills Assessment and Portfolio (LSAP). (A separate training for 1Ls is being scheduled). Co-developed by Wake Forest Law and Virgil Inc. (see Virgilcareers.com), the tool has three functions:
(1) to enable you to assess your development of practical lawyering skills,
(2) to help you determine the courses and experiences by which you might develop these skills during law school, and
(3) to provide a report and portfolio of your skills to potential employers--
no longer will employment prospects be determined solely according to grades!

Courtesy of Dean Suzanne Reynolds (JD '77), you can enjoy lunch (not pizza!) as Virgil's founder, Ron Mitchell, and Professor Jonathan Cardi walk you through how to use this innovative tool. Hope to see you there!
