Public Interest Law Speaker: Elliot Engstrom

Description: Public interest attorneys tackle some of society's biggest legal issues, and work with groups ranging from law reform organizations and government agencies to charities and private firms. Do you want to learn more about public interest law? Come have your questions answered! Elliot Engstrom, an attorney with the Civitas Institute, is visiting to speak about the public interest law field, recent developments in conservative public interest law, and opportunities with the Civitas Institute in Raleigh. Engstrom earned his JD from the University of Georgia in 2013 and his BA from Wake Forest in 2010. During law school, Elliot worked at law firms in both France and the U.S. before spending the summer of 2012 as a litigation clerk at the Goldwater Institute. He practiced in Charlotte and worked as Young Americans for Liberty's Director of Communications before joining Civitas. Elliot is an active member of the N.C. State Bar, the N.C. Bar Association, and the Wake County Bar Association.
