Teen Court Information Session
Date: | Tuesday, September 2, 2014 |
Time: | 12:00 - 1:00 PM |
Description: | Teen Court is for teenagers who are getting in trouble for the first time and agree to plead guilty. Instead of going to Juvenile Court and having the offense stay on their record for years, teenagers that complete the Teen Court sentence get their slate wiped clean. As part of the agreement, the teenager must sit through a sentencing hearing in front of a judge and jury. Law students, along with high school students, act as the attorneys and perform opening and closing statements and question the defendant. Sign up for the event, come join us for pizza, and learn more about Teen Court! |
