Dia de los Muertos Event

Date: Saturday, November 5, 2022
Time: 6:00 - 10:00 PM
Description: Dia de los Muertos is a celebration rooted in thousands of years of Mexican tradition. Rather than grieving the dead, ancient Mexicans celebrated the lives of the deceased and honored their memories. Today, we celebrate Dia de los Muertos every November 2nd.

A typical Dia de los Muertos celebration includes an ofrenda, or altar, filled with the deceased's favorite food. Family and friends gather around in remembrance of what their loved ones used to do or like. There is music, dancing, and joy.

Death is universal, and this Dia de los Muertos, we invite Wake Law to participate in this celebration as an opportunity to learn about this spiritual tradition and dispel the misconception that it is equivalent to a Mexican Halloween. Please join us for an opportunity to learn more about this tradition and celebrate as a community!
