Teen Court Training

| Description: | This training is for any law student who would like to participate in Teen Court. Teen Court is a deterrence program for juvenile first-time offenders in Forsyth County sponsored by the YWCA. Law students serve serve as counsel to the teenagers. In each case, guilt has been admitted by the defendant who has agreed to abide by the sentence of the teen court jury. Sentences can include activities such as: community service hours, skills and education seminars, jury duty sessions at other teen court proceedings, a letter of apology to injured parties, and personal apologies. |
