Marine Corps Birthday Ceremony
Date: | Tuesday, November 16, 2021 |
Time: | 12:30 - 1:00 PM |
Description: |
Every year, the Veterans Advocacy Legal Organization (VALOR) commemorates the Marine Corps birthday with a formal cake cutting ceremony so that students can witness and participate in one of our time honored traditions. Marines are known for celebrating this occasion no matter where we are or what the circumstances may be (even the front lines of war). The local Marine Corps JAG recruitment office will be participating in the ceremony, wearing their dress blues uniforms, and will make themselves available to answer any questions students have about commissioning. An officer will cut the cake and present the first pieces to the oldest and youngest Marines present. We then end the ceremony with a closing message and offer cake to attendees. |
