Description: Attend "Vanguard: Black Women Out Front on the Right to Vote," a Constitution Day lecture led by Professor Martha S. Jones. Professor Jones will talk about voting rights as the U.S. celebrates 100 years of women's suffrage.

Professor Martha S. Jones is the Society of Black Alumni Presidential Professor and Professor of History at Johns Hopkins University. She is a legal and cultural historian whose work examines how black Americans have shaped the story of American democracy.
