America's older population is growing, and so is the number of lesbian, gay, bisexual,and transgender (LGBT) adults who are moving into their later years. In the next several decades, the number of LGBT adults age 65 and older is expected to double, reaching more than 3 million by 2030. Join us for a conversation about the unique challenges facing our community, including: basic healthcare, caregiving issues, financial insecurity, and access to aging services. Panelists will be Kara Inglehart, Lambda Legal Midwest Regional Office, Law Fellow; Nii-Quartelai Quartey, Ed.D., AARP Senior Advisor and National LGBT Liaison, Multicultural Leadership, Community, State, and National Affairs; Paula Kohut (JD '83), Attorney, Kohut and Adams; with Yemi Adegbonmire (JD '05), Walt Disney Company, Associate Principal Counsel, acting as moderator. Lunch will be provided but reservations are required and can be made on the website provided. |
