Lawyer on the Line Pro Bono Training

| Description: | Working in conjunction with Legal Aid, students screen potential clients to determine whether they have valid legal issues. Students contact clients with various legal issues touching on bankruptcy, housing, employment discrimination, taxes, expunction, guardianship, and many others. The student conducts the initial interview with the client, researches the legal issues with a professor, contacts the client with findings, and forwards the case on to Legal Aid. Trainees will receive one pro bono hour. Please bring a brown bag lunch. |
