| Description: | The Journal of Law & Policy will present a symposium, "50th Anniversary of The Civil Rights Act: Looking Back and Moving Forward." Recent developments in the United States and abroad have seen lawmakers implement, at times, controversial laws regarding voting, self-defense and access to healthcare and education. The Journal has chosen to celebrate the 50th Anniversary of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 by inviting several distinguished scholars to speak about the environment of the Civil Rights Act at its creation and in today's society. This symposium will encompass a variety of topics surrounding the intersection of law, policy, and the Civil Rights Act. |
